International Defense Business (IDB) Familiarization Course

WBB now offers a course to satisfy defense industry requirements for an introductory-level familiarization of US defense exports and international security cooperation. This comprehensive four-module course provides an overview of the U.S. Defense Exports, Foreign Military Sales and an overview of the Direct Commercial Sales Process. The Course is segmented into two major components. The first half of the course provides an overview of the Executive Branch Departments responsible for defense exports, the international defense business market, the importance of U.S. Manufacturing, and the market forces as well as risks impacting defense businesses. The second-half of the course covers the timelines for the program administration and licensing of defense articles. In particular, this part of the course provides an overview of the role of Congressional oversight via the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and several regionally-focused subcommittees. How Washington Works

WBB offers hard-hitting, comprehensive one and two-day packages to government and industry clients who work directly in or with government capabilities/requirements and acquisition communities. Due to the success of this course , the senior level course has been taught on an individual basis to over 100 Flag/General Officers and Senior Executive Service (SES) including the Under Secretary of the Navy. Lean Six Sigma (LSS)

Courses are focused on successful mission and business outcomes based on LSS projects, using our recommended just-in-time training for each phase of LSS implementation. Customized courses offered including a one-day overview for senior leaders, three-day workshop for managers who need to align outcomes with strategic goals, along with longer Green, Black, and Yellow Belt workshops. The Contractor Laws and Rules of War Course

WBB offers a comprehensive, web-based course designed to provide contractors—operating in support of the US Armed Forces or supporting a Diplomatic or Consular mission in a designated operational area—the information necessary to satisfy the most current requirements. The course consists of modules that introduce the law and Rules of War; the protections afforded by those laws and rules, and how those laws and rules apply to individual contractor behavior. WBB received two independent legal reviews of the course, with both reviews concluding that the WBB course satisfies the new requirements in the DFAR and FAR for this contractor training. Joint Capabilities Integration & Development System (JCIDS) Training

WBB offers hard-hitting, comprehensive training in a 4-hour or one day package for government and industry clients who work directly with the DOD requirements/capabilities and acquisition communities. This course focuses on the JCIDS process and the most current changes to the CJCSI 3170 and DOD 5000 series instructions, but can be tailored to meet your specific needs. Enterprise Architecture Training Courses

WBB offers proven training in DODAF 2.0 and enterprise architecture for government and industry. Taught by certified, senior or master enterprise architects, WBB offers tool-neutral training for those who are responsible for designing the system, document the enterprise, or make decisions using the information contained in the architecture. Our consultants support both the DOD and civilian agencies and have firsthand knowledge of compliancy and doctrine as they relate to both the DOD Architecture Framework and Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA). DoD Architecture Framework Course

WBB has been conducting DODAF courses since 2007, with the first DODAF 2.0 version in July 2009. Our offerings range from a one-day basic training for decision makers to four-day training for practitioners, and can be customized to meet specific needs. WBB also provides training to assist in migration from DODAF 1.5 compliant architecturesto DODAF 2.0. The target audience for our courses includes requirements officers, program office personnel, acquisition officers & other managers of personnel creating DODAF architectures (for the one day version) and reviewers of DODAF architectures & architecture practitioners (for the four day version).

Africa Familiarization Training Course

This comprehensive one-day course provides broad familiarization of Africa, U.S.-Africa policy, Africa-U.S. interaction and potential Africa defense and transportation industry requirements. It includes an overview of North and sub-Saharan Africa, African national, regional and international economic and security organizations and U.S. Africa policy and strategy. The course is led by Robert Wells who brings a broad Middle East-Africa-related experience in the U.S. Navy, State Department and as a national security special advisor on Africa for the Vice President of the U.S. to each. Military/Civilian Manpower, Personnel, Training & Education (MPTE)

The course provides a working knowledge of the MPTE system, its relationship with the planning, programming, budgeting and execution (PPBE) system, and how the process can be influenced. It is useful to anyone who develops or executes policy, carries out MPTE activities, manages human resources, or leads people. Several types of classes are available to address attendees requirements and focus. Classes are often customized and are current to reflect changes to MPTE processes. Operations Analysis Training

Operations analysis (OA) familiarity and knowledge is advantageous for personnel involved in program oversight to possess a working level knowledge of analytical tools. It's also critical in order to develop and determine the effectiveness of government and industry policies and decisions. WBB's OA consultants offer an introductory course in OA and analytical tools training. OA training provides a tutorial with relevant problems and examples that address issues pertinent to specific organizations.
